Dates for your diary
10 week courses:
Wednesday: 9.30 a.m.-11.30 a.m. at East Bridgford Village Hall, Notts.
Beginning on 9th Jan until 20th Feb with a break on 27th Feb
continuing on 6th March – 20 th March.
There will be a 2 week Easter break and the summer term will begin on 10th April
Thursday: 1.30 p.m.-3.30 p.m. at East Bridgford Village Hall, Notts.
Beginning on 10th Jan – 21st Feb with a break on 28th Feb continuing on 7th March – 21st March
There will be a 2 week Easter break and the summer term continues on 11th April
Friday: 1.30 p.m.-3.30 p.m at Silverdale Community Centre, Silverdale, Notts.
Beginning on 11th Jan – 15th Feb with a half term break on 22nd Feb and continuing on 29th Feb – 22nd March
There will be a 2 week Easter break and the summer term continues on 12th April
All abilities are very welcome.
This term we will be exploring people and landscapes. We will refer to other artists to include some art history and appreciation. Class demonstrations and individual tuition will be given throughout the course. A trip is also planned to visit a the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Details to follow.
For the first class please bring:
• A drawing board of at least A2 or A3 size. This can be a piece of MDF cut to size from a hard-wear shop.
• Brown paper old- fashioned stick and lick tape.
• Pencil “B’ and putty rubber.
• Watercolour paper either as a single sheet or a pad. Avoid really cheap paper again good student quality is fine to start with.
• Sketchpad for notes for experimental work, sketches and notes.
• Brushes: Synthetics are better than cheap natural bristle.

Four week course
Wstercolours stage 2 – Wednesday 23rd Jan – 13th Feb
Step by step instruction and demonstration to create more effective watercolour paintings
Cost – £40. Please bring your own materials although pencils and boards provided.
All Day Events
These day events are tailored to suit the individual needs of students on the day. The aim is to provide a bespoke service to tackle those areas that need improvement or just to enjoy something that has been on a wish list. Orchard Studio provides a relaxed and friendly environment for all abilities. To make this day special a home cooked lunch of two courses is included. All diets catered for on request where possible.

– Due to limited availability places cannot be guaranteed without payment in advance at least a week before the starting date.
-Unfortunately, refunds for missed weeks cannot be given but students are allowed to join an alternative date to make up lost weeks.
